Amy is a 17-year-old swimmer who represents the City of Derby Swimming Club. She is currently ranked third nationally in her age group and was part of the club team who won silver in the 4x100 medley relay in the 17 years and over age group at the British Summer National Championships.
Amy says: "With the start of the 2016-17 season, I have begun a new training schedule. I now train at least eight times a week in Derby with my club and in Nottingham as part of the East Midlands beacon programme.
"Hopefully, with this increase in pool time, partnered with the support of ICON Derbyshire, I can have my best season yet.
"Our first major meet is the British Championships in April, where I aim to improve my national rankings by racing against Britain's most talented swimmers.
"Until then, I am attending a weeks swim camp in Fuertaventura among racing in local and international competitions."
