Elizabeth Gould.

The 17-year-old shooter, from Buxton, is a student at Lady Manners School. She is a member of the Great Britain Junior Rifle Squad and was selected for the second air rifle team at the British Junior International.

Elizabeth says: "I train three to five times a week, balancing shooting with school and a job. I train pretty much whenever I can, whether it is with or without my rifle.

"Each training session on a week day is about two hours long and one weekend a month a I train non-stop with the Great Britain junior rifle squad.

"This year, I am working towards the British Airgun open in February, and I am hoping to make the final in the event, and shoot a personal best.

"I am hoping to be selected for the team travelling to the Netherlands in February for the Intershoot competition. if selected, this would be my first major match abroad.

"My main goal for this season is to win a medal at the Junior International in August, held at Bisley in Surrey. 2015 was my first year shooting precision (Olympic discipline) at this event; hopefully in 2016 I will be more competitive.

"My biggest sporting ambitions are obviously to medal at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games, as well as at the World Championship matches. It would be amazing to achieve these goals, and I am very determined to make it happen."
