Nick is a 23-year-old golfer from Sandiacre who is a member of Kedleston Park Golf Club and on the Derbyshire Institute of Sport programme. He has secured eight top 10 finishes in tournaments during the year and hopes to compete on the European Challenge Tour in 2017.
Nick says: "After finishing a really good season which consisted of nine top 10 finishes including second three times on various tours, My winter training plan consists of identifying one or two areas of my game that I can really improve on before the season begins again in March.
"I will work technically with my coach Greg Hyde. We have worked for the last two years and have made good progress, while physically my work with the DIS is a huge benefit to me and I hope it continues with all the good work and support they provide.
"I have two months' warm weather training booked in January and February which will be a great opportunity to work really hard and develop my game.
"My main goal for the 2017 season is to secure a challenge tour card, but improving all areas of my game and effectively lowering my scoring average to around 70 is the really important thing. This is what I will be focusing on in day-to-day training, as it's much more in my control.
"I will play the Europro circuit in the season and European Tour School towards the end of the year. Getting my first really big pro victory would be really nice too."
