The 14-year-old judo player, from Glossop and a member of the Glossop Judo Club, was selected for the National Squad performance programme after finishing fifth in the British Championships.
Scott says: "This year I will be training between five and six times a week at my home club in Glossop and other local clubs. I will also attend county squad sessions as well as national sessions at British Judo's centre of excellence in Walsall.
"For strength, conditioning and stamina, I also train at my local swimming club four times a week.
"Over 2016, I plan to attend three day training camps in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Kendal, St Helens and Belgium. I am also planning to compete in all six major ranking events, as well as competing at Internationals in Edinburgh, Ireland, London, Kent, Southend, Holland and Belgium.
My priority is to gain selection for the National Cadet squad in 2016 and so my main focus is on the British Championships in December 2015, where I will be stepping into the next age band and weight group.
"I am working towards medals in all competitions but my long term aim is to secure a place on the British Judo Elite Athlete Apprenticeship when I finish my GCSEs.
"This will carry me through with the highest level training up till I'm 19, when I hope to become a full time judo athlete representing Great Britain."
