The 21-year-old athlete from Stenson Fields competes in 100m hurdles and finished in fifth place in this year's senior British Championships, which doubled as the Olympic trials, with a season's best time. The Derbyshire Institute of Sport athlete is targeting a place in the great Britain squad for the European Under-23 Championships next year.
Yasmin says: "I started training for the 2017 season at the end of September. I have a new team of coaches around me for next year which is great as I can see progress already being made, especially in my gym sessions and long runs.
"My goals in training are to make sure that I am succeeding all of the targets my coaches are setting for me especially in my gym and hurdling sessions, also making sure that I remember the main things that we are working on.
"This year my training programme has increased excessively in terms of having double sessions a day for three to four days of the week.
"I have many goals for next year but I am mainly focusing on improvements made in training first and then I will look at my racing goals. I hope to stay fit and healthy throughout winter so that I am able to compete in the 60m hurdles next year indoors and improve on the times that I ran last year."
